Download Dear Future Me from the App Store or Google Play and create your account using email, Google, or Apple sign-in.

Complete the quick onboarding flow to set your language preference, notification settings, and timezone. The app supports 14+ languages so you can write in the language closest to your heart.

Your personal timeline is ready. This is where all your letters -- past and future -- will live.

Tap the compose button to start a new letter. Choose how you want to express yourself:

Text: Type your thoughts, feelings, goals, or messages to your future self using the rich text editor.

Handwriting: Use the digital canvas to write or draw by hand. Perfect for personal notes and sketches.

Voice: Record voice messages for an even more personal touch. Your future self will hear your actual voice from this moment.

Photos: Attach photos to capture visual memories. Add images of your current life, environment, or anything meaningful.

Choose a delivery date -- it could be next week, next year, or even five years from now. Add a mood tag to track how you are feeling today.

When your letter is ready, tap Seal to lock it away. The app analyzes the emotion and content of your letter to generate a unique piece of AI seal artwork.

Each seal is one-of-a-kind, reflecting the mood and themes of what you wrote. Think of it as a visual fingerprint of this moment in your life.

Once sealed, your letter is locked until the delivery date. It cannot be opened early, edited, or deleted -- just like a real time capsule.

When your delivery date arrives, you will receive a notification. Open the app to begin the Opening Ceremony -- a cinematic reveal experience with music and animation.

Read (or listen to) your past self's words. See the photos, hear the voice recordings, and view the handwritten notes from that moment in time.

After reading, AI Reflections provides thoughtful insights comparing your past feelings, goals, and situations with where you are now. It is a powerful tool for self-awareness and growth.

Beyond letters, use the daily journal feature to track your moods and thoughts over time.

Select a mood emoji and optionally add a note. Over time, you will see patterns in your emotional journey on the mood calendar.

Your journal entries stay private and can help you understand your emotional rhythms and growth trajectory.

Create group time capsules with friends, family, or colleagues. Invite participants by sharing a capsule link.

Each participant contributes their own letters, photos, and voice notes to the shared capsule.

Set a collective opening date. When the time comes, everyone in the group experiences the Opening Ceremony together, discovering what each person wrote.
